If a child is adopted out of Foster care who has spent at least 1 day in care over the age of 13, they are available for assistance with College funding. There are 2 ways to receive assistance. Contact your adoption specialist for more information!

River Valley Photo’s will be coming to the Northwest Arkansas area!
The N.W.A. Heart Gallery and the River Valley Adoption Coalition will be partnering to bring photos of the waiting children in our area! We are very excited about the opportunity this holds for the children who are dreaming of a forever family! If your community group, church or business would like to host a digital frame featuring waiting children in our area please let me know!

C.A.S.A. of Northwest Arkansas Cheese and Wine Benefit
The Heart Gallery has been invited to participate at the C.A.S.A. Cheese and Wine benefit this Sunday evening, Feb. 28th. C.A.S.A. ( Court appointed specialist advocates) works closely with the children that are in foster care in Northwest Arkansas. The C.A.S.A. volunteer acts as the voice of the child, giving the child the best recommendations toward reunification, or finding placement in a new forever family. The N.W.A. Heart Gallery is honored to attend! This part of the Playhouse Project. The playhouses will be on display at the N.W.A Mall until March 6. If you get a chance, go by and look at what the community has put together for this fundraiser!

FOREVER FAMILIES FOUNDATION, INC IS HOSTING
an adoption/foster informational meeting! A representative from the NWA Heart Gallery, Forever Families Foundation and The C.A.L.L. will be on site to answer questions. We will be presenting basic information about all types of adoption, international, domestic, and foster. Someone who has experience with each type of adoption process mentioned will be there to share valuable information.

Grace Point Church Adoption Awareness
On Sunday night, Jan. 17 the Heart Gallery was blessed to be a part of the Adoption Awareness Service at the Grace Point Church in Bentonville! There were several inquires regarding foster parenting and adoption from the Foster care system. The Heart Gallery Portraits of these waiting children bless each event where they are displayed! Thank you Grace Point for hosting our children!

Gift Wrapping at Borders in Rogers
November 27 from 12:00-9:00 The NWA Heart Gallery and Forever Families Foundation will be wrapping gifts purchased at Borders Bookstore! The Heart Gallery will also be on display upstairs in the coffee shop. I understand that is where the wrapping will take place as well. Becky Wright will be arriving at 1:00 and will be singing her adoption music through out the day. Come and see what the Heart Gallery is all about, buy some of your Christmas presents and let us wrap them for you! The Heart Gallery will be returning to Borders the Saturday before Christmas for more wrapping!

Peekaboo Northwest Arkansas
Peekaboo Northwest Arkansas Magazine has featured Adoptions this month in honor of National Adoption Month. You can pick this free magazine up in may area businesses. This quarter they are also featuring Chuck. Chuck is a waiting child in the area that is hoping of a family to call his own, along with 19 others. We will be adding new photos of waiting children very soon!

Channel 5-KFSM
Channel 5 is starting a new segment called 5News Forever Family. They will be featuring waiting children from the Northwest Arkansas Heart Gallery, and the River Valley Coalitions Heart Gallery! This is a wonderful opportunity for you see the waiting children, get to know a little about them, and perhaps you will fall in love with a child, waiting for you! The show will run on Sunday Nights at 10:00 news, and again on Monday Morning news!
